Following our successful Alpenpark Turracher Höhe project, we are building our latest prestigious project, Alpenchalets Reiteralm, at a prime location in Austria. 13 design chalets with a magnificent view tot he Dachstein Massief will be built direct on the slopes of the Schladming – Ski amadé ski area. The largest and most popular winter sport region in Austria is Ski Amadé. This enormous ski region, with a total of no less than 760 km of slopes and accessible by more than 270 modern ski lifts, consists five different areas: Salzburger Sportwelt, Hochkönig, Gastein, Grossarltal and Schladming-Dachstein. They each have their own character and each one belongs to the absolute best in the world. Reiteralm, together with Hochwurzen, Planai and Hauser Kaibling, forms the gold standard ski region around Schladming. And rightly so: there’s a good chance that you will come across one of Austria’s many Olympic or world champions here! This really is their favourite place to train for the downhill, giant slalom or moguls.
But the enthusiastic beginner or less experienced skier will also have no problem finding their feet here. Guaranteed snow, wide slopes, and, especially important for the snowboarders amongst us, almost everything is accessible with hypermodern chair or gondola lifts. What makes this park special is that it is almost directly on the slope. Ski-in and ski-out guaranteed for the whole season!
The crack skiers can enjoy the ‘real’ black runs – marked with information about length and gradient, the snowboarders the fantastic fun park, and the alpine skiers the “Finale Grande”, one of the most beautiful valley descents in the region. What everyone surely will remember is the stunning views of the opposite Dachstein Massive.
But the walkers and the cross-country skiers aren’t neglected here either. There are more than 100 kilometres of signposted winter walking paths waiting to be discovered and at least 350 kilometres of prepared trails for strenuous relaxation. In one word: fantastic!
A ‘panorama lift’ will take you to the imposing Dachstein Glacier, the famous Sky Walk and the impressive “Ice Palace”. A must for fans of stunning mountain scenery. And real daredevils can try the highest suspension bridge in Austria and walk across the ‘walking on air’ glass viewing platform.

Summers in Steiermark are just as popular as winters. And for good reason: walking, cycling, mountain biking, rafting, swimming, mountain climbing, archery, paragliding, sightseeing or just lazing on the banks of a natural lake, is just a small selection of the more than 100 activities that are on offer. All this with just one pass: the “Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card”.
Golf enthusiasts can challenge themselves on the nearby golf courses at Haus im Enntal or Radstadt. At Radstadt you can take the Birdie-Jet gondola and tee-off at a height of 1000 metres! In the immediate vicinity, around 30 minutes’ drive away, are five golf courses to be found.
Gastronomy is taken seriously here. Sun-drenched terraces, where there’s no such thing as self-service, invite you to sample a local ‘Styrian’ lunch speciality while enjoying an excellent glass of wine or freshly tapped beer. Schladming-Dachstein is known for its many excellent piste restaurants. In Pichl there are several lively bars and Stubes, and for those who want to experience a really ‘old-fashioned’ après-ski, Schladming is literally around the corner.
For culture lovers the wonderful city of Salzburg is only an hour’s drive away. Shopping, sightseeing, theatre and museum visits and fantastic food. And don’t forget the incredibly charming Christmas market! Finally, experience absolute beauty in the Salzkammergut Lake District and at the UNESCO World Heritage village of Hallstatt. The Alpenchalets Reiteralm are in the heart of the Austrian Alps
The Reiteralm is almost entirely accessible by motorway. From Munich follow the A9 to Salzburg and then take the A10 towards Altenmarkt. From here follow the B320 towards Schladming/Pichl. Just after Pichl, turn right onto the Preunegweg and after 6 kilometres you will reach the build site (immediately after the small tunnel) on your right-hand side.
The Reiteralm is also easily accessible by air; you can fly to Salzburg of which it is an 1 hour drive. Other airports within driving distance are Vienna or Munich (Germany).

The spacious chalets are designed to fit perfectly into the natural surroundings. The entirely glass façade not only provides plenty of light but also guarantees a panoramic view of the ski slopes and the imposing mountain massive of “Hoher Dachstein”.
Each chalet is provided as standard, with 4 bedrooms and 3 beautifully-finished bath-rooms with an in-house wellness. The standard equipment in every chalet consists of ski lockers, shoe warmers, Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, a gas fireplace finished in natural stone, exceptional and exclusive exterior lighting, etc.
The chalets are built over two floors. The ground floor comprises an entrance hall with cloakroom, as well as storage space and staircase to the first floor. You will find 3 spacious bedrooms with solid oak flooring. The two front bedrooms have a beautiful panoramic view and access to the terrace. 1 bedroom has a luxury en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower, toilet and designer wash basin. On the ground floor you will also find the in-house wellness with a two-person Jacuzzi whirlpool, infrared sauna and rainfall shower.
On the first floor is a spacious living area with an open kitchen, spacious lounge, dining area and a beautiful semi-built in 3-sided gas fireplace. Through the distinctive panoramic windows, you can enjoy a stunning and expansive view. The sloping roof and the massive roof beams create a feeling of spaciousness. From the living room you have access to the large, covered balcony, enclosed by glass panels. On this floor there is also a fourth bedroom and a bathroom. This exceptionally luxurious bathroom has a French balcony and a Jacuzzi “Cloud Dream” Hammam, a rainfall shower with massage settings, toilet and designer wash basin.
Additional work may be chosen for a premium version of the in-house wellness area with a large sauna and a steam shower (Jacuzzi Sasha Mi), a second en suite bathroom or a separate toilet and an enlarged balcony in both bedrooms at the front.

Based on the zoning plan, the Alpenchalets Reiteralm are intended for leisure purposes. However, you have very large and flexible possibilities for private use and thanks to the management organisation, rental and management issues are well taken care of. Of course, you can also mediate the rental of your chalet yourself.
You can choose to finance part of the house. Even if you have sufficient funds to purchase without finance, a mortgage in Austria can be an interesting prospect. If the return on the investment is higher than the mortgage interest to be paid, then financing can increase the return on your own contribution.
We have an excellent mortgage offer from the Raiffeisenbank. The current interest rates vary between 2.0% and 2.5%.
